Symington’s has partnered with The Ruth Gorse Academy in Morley to give 15 students an insight into the world of manufacturing.

The students, who will work on the project over the forthcoming academic year, will have the opportunity to develop an “on the go” healthy breakfast product from concept to launch, together with a marketing plan to demonstrate how they will support their product.  Working with managers from each key part of the business, the students will develop skills and experience that they would not have access to as part of the general curriculum.

Saba Mir, Assistant Principal of the Ruth Gorse Academy quoted “I want to say a massive thank you on behalf of the students.  They are extremely excited and engaged by this incredible opportunity”

The project was launched in September 2015 and will conclude in June 2016 at the end of the academic year.
