Symington’s local school interactive learning day

Symington’s warmly welcomed 18 students from Laisterdyke Academy to Dartmouth Way in July for a morning of interactive learning. Working with Malcolm Hall of BITC and Leah Larkin from Mosaic, we were able to arrange the site visit where students experienced various aspects of the food industry.

The day involved a factory tour with two of our unit managers; Helen and Karen, a  Health and Safety session with Lewis and we finished off with a “who is who” session where a number of Symington’s colleagues from across the business presented to the students some insight into their own personal career journey to date.

Our feedback has been superb and we hope to do more over the next 6 months with our local community.

Thank you to all colleagues at Symington’s who helped out and “made a difference” on the day.

Our Community

The Events Team comprises a number of Symington's colleagues who, on top of their day job, give their time to organise events throughout the year. Our events provide some fun to the hard working people of Symington's whilst raising money for our particular chosen Charity.

A few examples of our Events are listed below:

• Family Fun Day
• End of Year Party
• Children in Need
• Red Nose Day
